In the city or beyond, Nature is where I begin.
My mixed media collages reflect my contemplative deep-looking at the natural world, wherever it is found. I am especially interested in exploring those edges where Nature and the City meet as essential places of human and environmental connection.
A neighborhood garden tucked away on a traffic island. Unseen schools of fish swimming upriver and below the George Washington Bridge. Footpaths and ponds hidden within the urban parks and forests of northern Manhattan and the northwest Bronx.
My work is focused on juxtapositions in urban life such as these that expand and enrich our sense of place, possibility, and connection — to the earth, to our cities, and to one another,
